PassDan opens to the logins you used last, so the one you need is usually already on screen. Search covers everything else.
PassDan is a simple, private password manager that stays useful for power users. No account and no server: your vault is encrypted on your device and syncs only as ciphertext through your own iCloud.
One vault, no category maze. Everything is a search or a click away, and nothing gets in your way.

Copy a username, password, or verification code straight from the list. Open an entry only when you want to change it.
New entries start with a few common fields. Add, rename, or remove anything else inline, or start from a template.
Keep two-factor secrets next to the password and copy time-based codes without reaching for another app.
Generate passwords and passphrases. PassDan flags weak and reused ones so you know what to change first.
Find and copy a login from the Mac menu bar, or fill it into apps and Safari on iPhone with AutoFill.
Trust is the whole point of a password manager. PassDan keeps the design small enough to reason about: your device does the encryption, and nothing readable ever leaves it.
Try everything free for 14 days. One subscription covers both apps and works with Family Sharing.

No. There is no PassDan account and no PassDan server. Your vault lives on your devices, and optional sync goes through your own private iCloud database.
No. Your vault is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your master password using Argon2id. Each item is sealed with AES-GCM before it is stored or synced, so only ciphertext ever reaches iCloud.
When you create your vault, PassDan gives you a 24-word recovery key. It is the only way back in if you forget your master password. There is no reset link, because nobody else holds a key to your vault.
Turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings. PassDan uses Apple's CloudKit to move encrypted records through your private iCloud database. Apple stores the ciphertext but cannot decrypt it.
Your vault stays fully readable. You can still unlock, view, copy, and export everything. Adding and editing entries, importing, and turning on sync need an active subscription.
Yes. Import from other password managers, and export at any time to an encrypted .pdvault file or a CSV file.
